Who we are

Outerview is operated by Outerview Pty Ltd (ABN 54 700 581 531), an Australian company building independent business audit tools that use publicly available data. You can contact us at hello@outerviewhq.com.

What we collect

On this website, we collect information through two channels:

• Order form: your name, email address, business name or website URL, and any optional notes you provide.
• Website analytics: anonymised usage data via Vercel Analytics, including page views, referral source, device type, and country. This does not include personally identifiable information.

How we use it

We use the information we collect to:

• Respond to and fulfil your order or enquiry
• Evaluate demand for the product
• Improve the website experience
• Contact you about your order or enquiry and directly related updates

Website analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. Vercel Analytics is privacy-friendly: it does not use tracking cookies, does not perform cross-site tracking, and does not collect personal data.

Third-party services

We use the following services to process order-form submissions:

• Supabase (database hosting): your submission (name, email, business name or URL, and any notes) is stored in a Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL database located in Sydney, Australia. Supabase acts as a data processor on our behalf. See the Supabase Privacy Policy.
• Resend (transactional email): when you submit the form, we send an internal notification email to our team containing your submission details. This email is sent via Resend. No marketing emails are sent to you via this service. See the Resend Privacy Policy.

These services process your data only as necessary to provide their functionality to us and are not authorised to use it for their own purposes.

Australian Privacy Principles

We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) as a matter of best practice. Our formal obligations under the Act, including whether we meet the threshold for APP coverage, are subject to legal review.

Data minimisation

We do not collect payment details or process credit card information on this website, and browsing requires no account. Customers granted access to a delivered report sign in with a one-time code sent to their email address; we store the email addresses authorised to view each report. Beyond that, we collect only the minimum information needed to manage orders and respond to enquiries.

Data retention

Order and enquiry information is retained for the duration of any business relationship that follows, and otherwise while we assess demand. You can request deletion of your information at any time by emailing hello@outerviewhq.com.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access: request a copy of any personal information we hold about you.
• Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate personal information. For factual statements in website or audit materials, use our Corrections & Disputes process.
• Deletion: ask us to delete your information.
• Complaint: lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

This policy covers the Outerview website and order process. The 25 August 2026 update linked the personal-information correction right to the separate process for factual statements in website and audit materials. The 31 July 2026 update reflected that audits can be ordered through the website: the order form replaced the earlier expression-of-interest form (same fields), payment is by invoice, and no payment details are collected on this website. The 28 July 2026 update identified Outerview Pty Ltd (ABN 54 700 581 531) as the operating entity and disclosed the one-time email code for delivered-report access. This policy will be further updated before any on-site payment processing is introduced. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated effective date.
